Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
The upgrade to an item allows players to increase the level of their equippable items such as weapons, armor and trinkets above a certain threshold. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.
Upgrade components are slotted into equipment to provide attribute bonuses and extra effects. These are usually slot-restricted however, there are certain universal upgrades.
Rerolling
A player is able to reroll an item upgrade in Diablo 4. This is accomplished through the Level Up mechanic, which stops the game and shows the four randomly selected upgrades. The player can select one of the upgrades to continue the battle. Rerolling is the same price as a regular Level Up. Costs
