Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to give an added bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used. They can be acquired by crafting, purchased from vendors or on the trading post, looted, or received as rewards. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be divided into two categories: universal and type-restricted. Universal upgrades, like gemstones, are able to be placed in any equipment. Inscriptions are able to add their own name to the item they modify, and can be seen by right clicking on the upgraded weapon or piece of equipment.
Glyphs
