World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of equippable weapons and armor. This improves the stats and can also add buffs or rerolls an affix.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrading common gear is not always worth it. Rare and exclusive equipment will quickly surpass the standard equipment and upgraded magic.
Cost
The player must pay gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level and the upgrade type selected. Upgrades to weapons are generally cheaper than upgrades for armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold needed increases as an item is upgraded.
Upgraded items will also have improved stats that can improve its performance in a variety of ways. This could include increasing the power of its attack, critical strike chance, or damage per second. An upgraded item may also provide additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to increase the overall strength of a unit or individual unit, and may be a major influence on the gameplay.
Items can be upgraded by any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. Generally, these NPCs are located in major cities or questing areas. You can also find item-upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.
The upgrade system for items in World of Warcraft provides players with the possibility of upgrading the level of armor, weapons, and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging of gear in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players have to visit an item upgrade r to complete the process.
Item upgrades can be costly, particularly when it concerns armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade track you choose, each item level increase can cost Crests or Valorstones. The costs can be prohibitive for those who don't have the funds, or are unwilling to grind.
Fortunately, the game lets players roll an upgraded item using a special tool in the menu for items. This option allows you to exchange the upgraded item with an equivalent level 1 version of it that has a different set of bonus effects. This is a great way to get better rolls on items that have already been upgraded. However, it could be a waste of time.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equippable items like weapons, armor and trinkets is to raise the item level. This can boost their effectiveness, making them more powerful in battle. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate currency at an item upgrader . Players must be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require special requirements.
Initial upgrades only boost the stats of the item's base level. Later upgrades provide more significant increases. For instance upgrading a weapon from three to level six can increase the weapon's damage by two levels. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on the level. The bonus is a combination of a guaranteed extra substat and a random stat that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item which has been upgraded. The new item has a different set of extra bonuses, and a lower level for the item. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the rerolled item won't be able to keep its original strength or have any wasted resources.
Certain upgraded items can only be rerolled if the original item was Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Extraordinary items are also suitable for rerolling, however their original stats will be replaced by a flat bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a Normal version of the same kind, while rolling an Epic item will result in an elite version of the same type.
A newly upgraded item could come with additional modifiers, which can increase the stats of the item and improve its performance. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade price. They can be purchased at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can be earned through fulfilling specific missions in the game.
To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 can be dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). You will also need various quantities of Minerals and Erons.
Time is a factor.
Upgrades to items can be a great way to boost your ship's performance and gear without the need to upgrade them. Upgrades aren't cheap but they can be a great method to boost your stats and not have to spend so much time fighting. However, it's important to know the costs and benefits of upgrades to your item before you invest your money or time.
Each upgrade boosts an item's base stat by a certain amount, and also offers a chance for a bonus stat increase. The random substat may be anything from a minor boost to a much larger boost. Make sure to focus on the stats that perform best in slots first. They will bring higher returns for your money.
You can check the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and choose the weapon, ship or accessory. The upgrade window will show the progress and expected completion time. In some cases, you may be capable of speeding the process by using a Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit which allows you to recover all or a portion of upgrade components. This is not applicable to legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered with an upgrade extractor or returning the item to the Karma dealer.
Rewards
The upgrading of items grants players money and a variety of items. In addition, every upgrade has a chance to give a random stat bonus. The amount of bonus varies between upgrades, and is generally higher for rare items. Players can use the Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable before spending tickets. The search can help determine whether the item is of a particular class and whether the player could benefit from an upgrade.
During the upgrade, an item will gradually grow closer to the next level but it is not always able to reach its maximum upgrade bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant but there is a chance of getting an upgraded item after just one cycle. The higher the level an item is upgraded the more powerful its stat value will be, and the more items that can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, weapons, or armor in order to gain an attribute bonus or a special effect, while the equipment is being worn. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are available through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. Additionally players can retrieve upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a salvage kit. Glyphs, which are placed in gathering tools are able to be exchanged without restriction.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button with a an arrow that rerolls the player can reroll it into another upgradeable item. This will alter the layout and allow players to select up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for an item at level 1 of the same type. Recycled items don't keep their status or the amount of resources needed to upgrade them.

An item's maximum upgrade level is determined by its tier and quality. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels up to nine, while common items can only be upgraded up to level six. The upgrades to items are added to the base stats of the item. This means that they won't grow more after a certain point.
